Vintage French Faïenceries d'Art Hadancourt 1960 - 1970 Signed Dish Primitive Faience 17th C Design Mid 20th Century French Faience Signed
This is beautiful primitive mulitcoloured hand painted faience dish, done in the style of 17th century Rouen pottery decoration, it is a lovely thing.
The figure is of St Martin who is best known for the account of his using his military sword to cut his cloak in two, to give half to a beggar clad only in rags in the depth of winter.
This is a desirable collectable for a descerning collector.
This will look lovely as a table center piece or as a cabinet or wall plaque.
There are no cracks or breaks and it sits beautifully especially in the sunshine. There are three firing marks on the base where it was supported in the kiln. There is some crazing in the glaze, there is some marks from decoration on the surface, but it is in otherwise perfect condition.
It weighs about a 650 grams about 1.2 pounds and is 26 cms across about 10 inches

Our lighting all works unless otherwise stated. All electrical items need to be checked by a local electrician to ensure compatibility with local electrical standards.
The bulb fittings are compatable with 240V electrical supply which covers most of the world.
See:
http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plug-voltage-by-country/
If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
