Antique Basque Made in Bearn French Solid Copper Plate with Brass Lozenges Totally Hand Made Repousse Copper Dish Vide Poche
Made by hand with solid copper in the early part of the 1900's. It has repousee work and brass lozenges, superb craftsmanship.
You can see the hammer marks on the front of the body of the plate itself - it is testimony to the real skill of the maker. This is souvenir ware from the Basque area of Béarn is one of the traditional provinces of France, located in the Pyrenees mountains and surrounding plains in southwest France.
This has seen a little life, the outside has a lovely patina, the repousse work is very good, There are a few scratches and signs of use and wear. The decoration is totally hand done. This is a really primitive early item that will look fantastic in a solitary position - the patina really draws the eye.

If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
