Lovely vintage candle sticks, classic Secessionist design a mix of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. They are solid copper we think they have been silver plate at one stage. They are heavy and of real quality.
These are two lovely candle sticks!
They weigh 648 grams 1lbs 6.9 ozs so they are a substantial pair and measure 18 cm high about 7 inches high.
The design has been inspired by both floral French Art Nouveau, German Jugenstil and by linear Art Deco.
It was the secessionists aim, through its use of the methods of mass production, to make artistically designed, contemporary Jugenstil objects of daily use (such as candlesticks, ashtrays, lamps, beakers, vases, planters, jardinieres. tea and coffee sets) accessible to a broad selection of the public.
There are many indentations and signs of use and wear, there are edge dents, these are very special candlesticks.
The typical mid way between Art Nouveau and Art Deco design is fabulous.
They are weighted and are solid copper with the tell tale signs of once being plated. This gives this pair a real antique feel, they are really lovely and shine beautifully in candle light.

If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
