Beautiful large silver plate bowl with maker's mark, Made by Gallia between 1921 and 1937 it has the heritage and design associated with this premier maker.
There are surface scratches, some pin dents and signs of wear and use. This has been used on an everyday basis for many years.
Gallia metal is the brand name of a copper and tin alloy patented by Felix Cheron in 1896, he retired in 1902 as the head of Alfenide Gallia and the company was subsequently bought by Christofle. Good heritage!
It weighs 452 grams about 15.9 ozs and it is 33cm long about 13 inches and 20.5 cms wide just over 8 1/8 inches and is 5.5cm high about 2 1/8 inches.

If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
