Jules Moreau signed monochrome plate - Superb texture and finish - rare piece of French faience.
Malicorne is one of the oldest ceramics factories in France. Based in La Sarthe near Le Mans northern France. This factory started in the mid 1700's and produced both high status and everyday wares. Jules Moreau has produced some of the most prestigious and lovely pieces.
This wonderful plate dates from between the 1930's and the early 1980's, from the mark on the underside and is a beautiful homage to the fabulous work of a prestigious long lived enterprise.
The factory is still going today we have even paid them a visit. It is in a perfectly lovely part of the world with a Museum and visitors' centre - if ever you are in northern France it is a smashing day out!
There are no cracks or chips,it is a beautiful stylish and unusual plate. and it sits beautifully especially in the sunshine. There are three firing marks on the base where it was supported in the kiln. There is some crazing in the glaze but it is in otherwise perfect condition, There is green bleeding between the black and white glaze.
It weighs about 500 grams about 1.2 pounds and is 22 cms across about 8.5 inches
This plate will be securely wrapped and sent insured and tracked parcel post.

Our lighting all works unless otherwise stated. All electrical items need to be checked by a local electrician to ensure compatibility with local electrical standards.
The bulb fittings are compatable with 240V electrical supply which covers most of the world.
See:
http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plug-voltage-by-country/
If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
