This is beautiful white, green and yellow.
Malicorne is one of the oldest ceramics factories in France. Based in La Sarthe near Le Mans northern France. This factory started in the mid 1700's and produced both high status and everyday wares. Malicorne has produced some of the most prestigious and lovely pieces.
This wonderful plate dates from between the 1920's and the early 1980's, from the mark on the underside and is a beautiful homage to the fabulous work of a prestigious long lived enterprise.
The collection from Malicorne, as with most ceramics factories in France, have various styles manufacured. Moustiers, Rouen, Chinoisery, Revolution and Modern designs. Signature Malicorne has some architectural pieces too.
This is a desirable collectable for a descerning collector.
This will look lovely as a table center piece or as a cabinet or wall plaque.
It is all hand made and hand painted in the Moustier style. The factory is still going today we have even paid them a visit. It is in a perfectly lovely part of the world with a Museum and visitors' centre - if ever you are in northern France it is a smashing day out!
There are no cracks or breaks and it sits beautifully especially in the sunshine. There are three firing marks on the base where it was supported in the kiln. There is some crazing in the glaze but it is in otherwise perfect condition, There is a thcker part of glaze on part of the face, there is a tiny chip on the edge, this is there to make it look really authentic!
It weighs about a 622 grams about 1.2 pounds and is 23.5 cms across about 9 1/2 inches

If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple!
