Arts and Crafts style vintage copper planter with flat base. This has been made by a Villedieu coppersmith.

It is a 'Cache Pot' or water tight planter and will not let water onto your floors or surfaces, it is a true useful decorative item for your balcony or indoor display.

The traditional way is to use some smooth stones in the base should you not wish your plant to sit directly in water - these sorts of pots are used extensively in Paris apartments so their beautiful parquet floors dont get damaged with water.

This is an artisan coppersmith's made cache-pot, plant pot or planter.

It was made in the early 1970's and has signs of wear and use, there is darkening on the interior, which shows a red copper hue and some small indentations, there are marks all over the outside and inside all authentic wear which enhances it's patina and provenance. This is a lovely old pot.
