Made in southern France by Galerie Palissy in Vallauris, this exceptional pichet, cruche, broc, pitcher or jug has been hand thrown and decorated. It has a striking design in a brown and cream palette. It has a 'modern' and experimental feel to it.

There are some manufacturing faults such as tiny voids and some tiny lumps.

It was made by Galerie Palissy in Vallauris and is signed on the base. It has major 'modern art' influences.

Vallauris is a pottery region in south-eastern France, near Cannes. Pottery has been made there since ancient times. The area grew as a pottery centre in the late 19th century, and many companies have flourished there since then, notably those of Massier, Foucard-Jourdan and Picasso's Madoura.
