Beautiful ladle that has the most beautiful patina and is in superb vintage condition.
It has a pieced base and has an extremely intricate and delicate design and it is robust too!
Founded in 1880 by the merger of two existing German companies, the WARTTEMBERGISCHE METALWARENFABRIK or WMF was, around 1900, the world's largest producer and exporter of household metalware, mainly in the Jugendstil and Secessionist style.
This is fully marked on the reverse WMF and 90-5.
This was made in the 20th century as a decorative and useful item and is lightly polished. There are some signs of use and wear.
This is an important piece of WMF manufacture in the 20th century.
